If you would like to talk to someone directly about OpenEdit, just call, email or send a contact request, comment on a blog, or post a message on the user forum.
In addition to working on client projects, my job is to help answer your questions. I have an engineering degree, I have experience building web applications, and I'm enthralled by the impact of the Internet on our everyday lives. It has changed the way consumers interact with companies, the impact of which is being felt across the entire marketing industry. This is true for me as much as it is for you. Instead of me interrupting your favorite radio show, or worse, having to watch me on TV (me doing an infomercial - yikes, scary thought) with a canned 30 second message, I get the opportunity to speak directly with clients about their projects on their terms.
Extending this invitation can be frightening because such a conversation requires a deep understanding of the products and services we offer. It requires me to learn about the problems and challenges you are facing. I have to answer your questions one at a time and it also opens the door for criticism.
On the flip side, this personal invitation is an exciting opportunity that wasn't very realistic before the Internet. I get to invite you, and thousands of other visitors each week, to talk with me about your project and your company. I get to show you the tools we can offer to help solve your problems. Everyday I form relationships and learn valuable lessons as I watch you implement your ideas.
So I am extending an open invitation to talk directly with me, someone you've already met (sort of) and know by first name. An invitation to discuss the challenges you are looking to solve with OpenEdit. I'll gladly show you OpenEdit's wide range of technologies and talk about your project so you can begin implementing a successful online presence.
As far as I'm concerned, direct communication with potential and existing clients is what internet marketing is all about.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Regards,
Joel Halse
