Does anyone have feedback on this new OpenEdit Admin toolbar idea? The way it would work is that you would hover over the plugin type and it will drop down some sub options. This also allows you to setup multiple blogs, ecommerce or archive store fronts. Once you install a plugin then a new drop down will automatically appear.
The only problem I see with that is that if you have more than about eight plugins installed, on a small screen, the toolbar becomes unusable.
I'd suggest something more like Eclipse's menu framework or GTK's menu builder (I forget what it's called), which allow you to basically specify which section of which menu you want to put it in, and define new sections and new menus.

I'm a fan of the drop menus.. mostly. My only complaint is wrt the inline toolbar. I used to be able to see at a glance if there were edits waiting for approval. Since the change to a drop menu, I am leaving pages in draft by accident, which is a pain. Perhaps the pencil icon could display slightly different if the page had edits pending approval?
As far as the admin toolbar goes.. so far so good. It took only minutes to get used to the change and I'm having no trouble finding the tools that I need. Nice work.
