For end user technical support please visit the EnterMedia web site. problem restoring backup on a new installationHi, I was deploying the new OpenEdit version of my web site for HuskyGård (www.huskygard.se) on the latest openedit-editor ROOT.war by copying my backup to the new instance and trying to restore it. This failed with an error saying it could not move a file to .../trash/old.... This was on a Debian server running Sun Java System Web Server 7.3 Tried it locally and it didnt work on Vista with same Sun Java System WebServer either. I took the liberty to fix the problem in this way: in the source for com.openedit.modules.update.Backup method: replaceDirectories : else This made it work on all my systems. I am not sure why it failed on my debian to be honest. But that renameTo in File is fraught with platform dependent behavior. Hopes this helps. Posted by Peter Friebel Mon, Nov 3 2008 9:26 AM
