It looks like there is a problem with the events plugin - I haven't had a chance to debug it, but will do so later today hopefully.  If you navigate to:

http://demo.openedit.org/sandbox/events/list.html

you'll notice that it says no events found.  However, if you search, there are a lot of events - it appears we're no longer loading the events by default.  This makes calendars not function as expected.
