Sping and Springs Security FrameworkWe use Springs IoC capabilities extensily within OpenEdit already - I'm wondering if there is an interest out there in providing an authentication layer for OpenEdit based on the Spring security framework. As we push into more and more enterprises, I think this would give us some serious advantages. The main info is here: http://www.acegisecurity.org/ I'm most interested in the out of the box:

It is interesting if OE supports OpenID.
We don't at this moment - but I am thinking of adding this in. If we used the Sping security stuff, I think we'd get it for free.
Also, check out the OpenEdit JAASAuthenticator that can handle most login types. It is very hard to use tho.
You should be able to use the Spring stuff with OpenEdit.
Also, most web servers support their own authentication schemes. Resin and Tomcat might have some options.
